My Story

"If you do not see me again, this is goodbye, Mummy," my daughter said to me one day after school.

At 9, my daughter had suicidal thoughts because she was bullied at school. As a mother, I was helpless. So scared of what she might do to herself, angry that someone was hurting my baby and yet I had no way to help.

After seeing the damage this incident did to her, I wanted to help other victims (those who were bullied and those who bullied) so I started a charity campaign called "Antibullying in Schools".

Through this campaign, I met many children, I find many of them with very low self esteem & confidence. I realised that in order to help them, we needed to change their mindset, build resilience to make them stronger.

Whilst building my daughter back up again, I saw her gain back her self worth when she started making slime to sell.

From idea to research, production to marketing, packaging to sales, my two girls handled it all.

Later that year, they entered a kid entrepreneurs competition. I was blown away by the ideas & passion of the finalists. Their positive mindset and confidence was apparent.

That was when I knew that having a program that allows children to turn their passions into a business, they will be able to gain the strength and mindset they need for life.

The program we designed was well received. Schools signed up and corporations supported.

Seeing this positive change in the children, we wanted to make this accessible to every child in the world. That's why we are building CEO Kids.

Teaching children entrepreneurship is not about making everyone of them business owners, it is about training a mindset that will help them prosper in whatever industry they decided to go into later in life.

It is a bridge from academic work to the real world, allowing them to understand why they need to learn what they learn in school, plus give them resilience, grit, communication skills, creativity, critical thinking as well as able to collaborate with others. All essential skills for the future.

Entrepreneurship is the one thing that can change their lives, regardless of background, race, education.

That is what CEO Kids is about: giving children the opportunities that they deserve.
